CEYBL - European basketball competition for young talents
The CEYBL (Central European Youth Basketball League) is a European basketball competition that brings together some of the best clubs and training academies in Europe.
By participating in this league, AKdémie Grand Est offers its players a top-level international experience, perfectly aligned with its European-focused basketball academy project.
What is the CEYBL competition?
The CEYBL is a European youth basketball league, organized as tournaments by age group (U14, U15, U16, etc.).
Teams meet several times a year to compete in tournament rounds in different Central European countries.
The CEYBL’s objectives are to:
• Bring together high-level teams from several countries
• Offer young players international experience from the start of their training
• Create a challenging yet educational competitive environment
As such, the CEYBL has become a benchmark in Europe for the development of young basketball players.
A springboard for players from the AKdémie Grand Est
By joining the CEYBL, the Grand Est Basketball Academy allows its players to:
• Experience different playing styles
• Compete against renowned academies and clubs in Europe
• Gain intensity, maturity, and experience

• Manage a fast-paced game schedule

Competition format and participating countries
The CEYBL takes place in several stages throughout the year.
At each stage, teams play several matches over a few days.
Depending on the edition and category, the league brings together clubs and academies from different countries, for example:
• Czech Republic
• Poland
• Germany
• Slovakia
• Hungary
• And other Central and Eastern European countries
This format allows players from the Grand Est region to discover new environments while remaining within a safe and structured framework.
